Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that products and services perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing processes are capable and qualified. • Site Quality Leader with direct reports. Develop specialized knowledge in quality across shop. Serves as primary quality focal for site leading all other quality resources. Has awareness of latest quality requirements, policies, procedures, and production quality developments. Leads Quality strategy and contributes towards site strategies together with site leadership team. • Has in-depth knowledge of Quality tools, practices, systems, and requirements and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge Quality System (ISO or AS9100), Audit preparation/execution/response, and can develop site quality system and quality culture of compliance • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderate to complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product quality, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Develop and execute robust Root Cause and Corrective Actions. • Acts as functional Quality Engineer in support of, as well as ownership of, Quality process. Develops direct reports to season experience. Will lead or oversee projects to improve shop quality and delivered quality performance. • • Lead Lean initiatives. Support/lead Kaizen events focused on continuous improvement. Own KPI metrics associated with Quality performance and their improvement strategies and projects. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering ). + minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering.
  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

  • High level of Quality System (QS execution to requirement) and Quality Process experience (FAI, Gage R&R, Sampling, GD&T, RCCA, NC Mgmt, and quality planning) • • Machining and CMM experience a plus Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute strategies. Established project management skills.
