Job overview and responsibilities
As the Senior Program Manager of Digital Marketing Operations, the role will oversee the technical strategy and operations of key marketing channels, including email, SMS, push notifications, united.com, mobile app and Kiosks. This role is responsible for designing and optimizing end-to-end workflows, integrating marketing systems, and driving platform-level automation to support scalable, high-impact campaign delivery. This individual will manage a team focused on digital transformation, delivery enablement, and operational efficiency. This role is critical in driving operational reliability, technical innovation, and the seamless execution of high-volume, omnichannel marketing campaigns.
- Digital Marketing Operations Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of digital publishers, front-end developers, campaign operations managers and digital marketing managers to oversee the full engineering lifecycle of campaign operations across key digital marketing channels—emails, SMS, push notifications, united.com, mobile app and Kiosks by incorporating personalized strategies to drive customer engagement and improve ROI.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with diverse teams, including Strategy, Design, CMS (Content Management System), Data Engineering, Targeted Marketing, Analytics and Digital Technology to drive alignment on data architecture, platform infrastructure and campaign logic, and ensure the successful execution of digital marketing campaigns and strategies by working closely with the portfolio lead in Digital Technology.
- Tool Management: Oversee the integration, management and optimization of marketing / advertising technology platforms (CMS, Bynder, Salesforce, Jira, etc.) to enhance workflow efficiency, scalability, performance, and campaign effectiveness while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adoption and continuous improvements.
- Digital Transformation & Delivery Enablement: Lead the research, analysis, evaluation, and implementation of new marketing technologies, automation frameworks, and project management platforms to enhance marketing and content lifecycle development across all digital channels.
NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including approximately 50 of the time spent working onsite at our Chicago office location and 50 remotely.
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- 7+ years relevant experience
- 2+ years experience in Marketing / Advertising Technology or Marketing Operations
- 2+ years experience in Customer Data and Identity solutions
- 5+ years of program management experience
- 5+ years experience leading a team

The base pay range for this role is $124,735.00 to $162,388.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
