Role Overview:As a Security Manager for Advanced Programs, you will ensure the security of personnel, facilities, computers, and information systems for government-classified programs. This role is on-site and requires a strategic approach to developing and implementing security plans tailored to offsite locations. Your work will be critical to protecting advanced program assets and ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security strategies by creating tailored security plans for offsite locations to protect advanced program assets and information.
  • Conduct risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations, standards, and policies, including NISPOM, NIST, ISO, and DoD requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and operations teams to ensure a holistic approach to security.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in security-related meetings, conferences, and industry forums.

The Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to compliance. They are a proven leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders and leading a high-performing security team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience OR associate degree with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience OR high school diploma with a minimum of 11 years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in security management or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in security management, with 3 years focused on Special Access Programs.
  • Secret or Top-Secret clearance adjudicated in the last 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of security regulations, standards, and best practices, including NISPOM, NIST, ISO, and DoD requirements.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment, incident response, and crisis management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as SFPC, SPSC, or other SPeD certifications.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to compliance.
  • Leadership experience in developing and managing high-performing teams.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
