About Position / Position Summary
Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center has an immediate opening for Senior Solutions Architect to join our Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Engineering Products Team and own the architecture of complex, domain-heavy product application built on a modern technology stack. This role requires strong judgement, , and the ability to influence product and business decisions through data-driven tradeoffs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This role focuses on rather than day-to-day feature development, requiring balanced judgement across business priorities, delivery speed, and long-term system health.
This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.
Position Responsibilities:
Architecting IT capabilities and solution/product development which help in end-to-end aircraft engineering and manufacturing and ensuring solutions account for model-based systems engineering (MBSE), digital thread, digital twin, and other domain-specific engineering constructs.
Own architectural decisions for business-critical, customer-facing applications
Define and evolve the end-to-end architecture across frontend, backend services, integrations and support platforms and produce architecture artifacts
Set and maintain the long-term technical direction of systems, balancing short-term delivery needs with scalability, reliability and maintainability
Make and document architectural decisions/tradeoffs across application design and cloud architecture
Remain hands-on to validate architectural decisions in production systems
Support adoption of new tools and technologies by conducting proofs-of-concept and assisting engagements with implementation and takeover.
Review system designs and code at appropriate depth to ensure implementations align with architectural intent
Deep Dive into .Net based backend services, modern frontend applications (Angular / React) and cloud infrastructure when needed to unblock teams or resolve complex issues.
Participate in root-cause analysis of significant production incidents and ensure architectural learnings are applied.
Design and evolve AWS-based architectures that meet requirement of scalability, availability, security and CloudFinOps Management
Own cloud-related architectural decisions, including deployment models, disaster recovery, security assessment and resiliency strategies.
Ensure systems are designed for operational excellence including monitoring and fault tolerance
Identify and mitigate cloud infrastructure related risks, including cost, scaling patterns and operational complexity
Partner closely with Product Management and Business stakeholders to translate domain-heavy requirements into clear architectural approaches.
Influence roadmap and scope decisions by clearly articulating technical, operational and cost tradeoffs.
Push back on proposals that create unacceptable architecture or operational risk using data and structured reasoning.
Drive architecture alignment across multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
Resolve architectural disagreements by anchoring decisions regarding customer impact, business outcomes and long-term sustainability
Identify opportunities for shared services, reusable components, and platform capabilities across applications
Apply judgment on when standardization adds value and when team autonomy is more important.
Reduce long-term technical debt by simplifying architecture and eliminating unnecessary complexity.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Technical SMEs, architecture community to imbibe best practices, usage of tools and techniques
Write clear architecture documents, proposals, white paper and tradeoff analyses that enable high-quality decisions.
Mentor team members on system level and architectural thinking
Raise the architectural bar through reviews, feedback, and clear expectations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
Should possess deep technical expertise while remaining technology-agnostic and be able to adapt architectural and design approaches across multiple technical stacks.
Experience architecting and operating Modern web applications using SPA frameworks (Angular or React), .Net based backend systems, and AWS in production environments
Experience owning architectural decisions across frontend, backend and cloud infrastructure
Extensive experience in multi-tier application architecture and design, including application integration, common architectural and design patterns, and the ability to document and present architecture clearly.
Good understanding of standard application security practices, authentication methods and remediation patterns.
Depth of experience in database design and data architecture, including relational and non-relational data modeling and a wide range of database technologies
Strong practical experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, static code analysis tools, and agile development methodologies.
Able to quickly understand complex business scenarios and rapidly comprehend domain and technical requirements
Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills across business, technical, and leadership levels.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :
Strong affinity towards Engineering or Aerospace Domain either because of educational background or consistent experience and interest in that domain.
Experience delivering high-impact applications to production while minimizing business impact and ensuring continuity.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 13 Plus years related work experience or Master’s Degree with 12+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
9+ years of experience designing, building and operating large-scale software systems
3+ years of experience owning or driving system-level or application architecture for complex, business critical systems.
