Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity in the BGS Parts and Distribution Services Strategy and Business Development team for a Senior Strategy and Business Development Principal (Level 5)

This team is responsible for strategy and growth of our parts and distribution services business by identifying and unlocking new opportunities.

Integral to the profitable growth of the BGS Commercial Services Parts Business, the Strategy and Business Development Principal will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing significant growth projects through the BGS gated process to bring new products and services to market. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in program management, market analysis and commercial strategy in areas that include, but are not limited to, airline operations and supply chain, aircraft and airline economics, and the commercial parts market. The Strategy and Business Development Principal will be adept at working integrated functional teams and business units and possess a proven ability to develop and execute new product and service development plans. This includes identifying and validating unaddressed commercial opportunities, defining commercial strategy to address the underserved need, developing quantitative business cases, cultivating customer and industry constituent relationships, securing internal and external senior leadership agreement, and driving operational implementation plans required to bring new products and solutions to market on-time and on-budget.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options:  Plano, TX. Seattle, WA

The Opportunity

  • Identify, evaluate, recommend, and prioritize new business opportunities through organic and inorganic investment / partnerships.

  • Define, develop, and deploy new products and services, and/or enhancements to existing products, in order to address customer needs by leveraging Boeing’s strengths and competitive advantages

  • Identify, validate, and implement appropriate business models, whether known or novel, to enable the success of new or enhanced Boeing products and services to address customer requirements and needs. Develop and lead collaboration with third parties where required to maximize value

  • Apply project management best practices, tools, and structure to lead integrated teams, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Sales, and Marketing

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience developing business deals with external parties (i.e., customers, suppliers, partners)

  • 5+ years of experience with Sales/Business Development in the aviation industry

  • 5+ year experience in commercial aviation aftermarket

  • Ability to travel to support business and team requirements (approximately 25)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • MBA highly desired

  • Strategy or Consulting experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience, 18 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $158,950- $ 215,050
