What You Will Do:
Design, develop, and optimize advanced security tools, systems, and policies to enhance network monitoring, data segmentation, access control, encryption, and secure data transfer, leveraging innovative technologies and best practices.
Perform and sustain cybersecurity operations, focusing on managing, optimizing, and securing networks and enclaves through advanced security mechanisms and toolsets.
Evaluate and refine system security configurations to align with and exceed modern IT security standards, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 security controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
Establish functional and technical specifications, define input/output parameters, and ensure comprehensive integration of systems or subsystems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, leveraging advanced tools and methodologies to ensure system reliability.
Identify and implement opportunities within existing technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and performance.
Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 Level II Certification within 6 months of the start date (required).
This position is an ONSITE role that can be in Tucson AZ, Andover MA, Tewksbury MA, Woburn MA, Marlborough MA, Portsmouth RI, or Richardson TX.
Travel up to 5 to support project requirements or collaboration with teams.
Must be able to obtain an Interim clearance before we set a start date.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with Windows or Red Hat client server environments, including server replication methods and configuration.
Experience with application installation, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting in multi-server environments.
Experience with system hardening techniques and best practices to enhance security.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Group Policy, cybersecurity best practices, and networking concepts.
Experience with automation and scripting for system deployment (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
