The Sourcing Product Line Leader will partner with the GEnx Product Line team to build long term strategy. This role will drive collaboration between Sourcing Commodities, Product Lines, and Engineering teams to find optimal sourcing solutions that deliver on the business’ safety, quality, delivery, and cost priorities. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Establish daily management rhythms, standard work, and processes for a cross-functional team of Product Line and Engineering focals focused on sourcing outcomes.
- Support requests from Product Line teams. Coordinate efforts across six Sourcing commodities.
- Lead effort to align the GEnx Product Line and Sourcing strategies by using documented process.
- Provide visibility to upcoming contract expirations on hardware within the product lines and work proactively with the teams to determine the optimal go-forward strategy on that hardware.
- Identify the critical hardware for a given product line by evaluating the total cost impact of safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Work to build a strategic sourcing roadmap to mitigate SQDC risks.
- Understand the sourcing/supplier landscape and leverage that knowledge into product line sourcing strategy.
- Partner with engineering teams to create should costs on critical hardware. Understand our market position relative to should cost and create plans to drive cost reduction and abate cost increases on sourced hardware.
- Collaborate with commodity teams to create and improve productivity processes.
- Lead Problem Solving efforts across Sourcing organization.
- Participate in Product Line Cadences (example: Cost Daily Management)
- Project manage execution of de-risk geopolitical strategy
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college + a minimum of 5 years of Sourcing and/or Product Line experience
