Job Summary

This Senior Manager Technology invests in our Purpose by advancing the Commercial and Customer Portfolio through their leadership on the Digital Platforms Team which includes agile development for southwest.com, the Customer mobile apps (iOS, Android, and mWeb), and swabiz.com. This leader will support the Marketing, Digital Experience, and Southwest Business agendas by collaborating and engaging daily to deliver successfully for our Customers and to provide our Employees a high level of support and care. The Senior Manager Technology is passionate about developing our People and leading innovative solutions to drive the future of Technology at Southwest.

Additional Details:

  • This role is offered as a regional workplace position and Employees must work in the region they support. This could require working from a mix of on-site Company facilities and remote based offices to perform the job function in a regional location determined by business need. Each Department will provide Employees with guidance on when and where presence is required with as much notice as reasonably possible.

  • Please note, while this is a regional position, there is a limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Washington and Wyoming.

  • Advanced knowledge of business/Leadership principals, including planning, organizing, directing, developing, and supervising

  • Advanced knowledge of mobile platforms and custom development

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

  • Required: Required: Bachelor&39;s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent formal training

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)

  • Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:

    • A Business and/or Information Technology environment

    • Leading teams and providing work direction

  • Preferred: Strong leadership and communication skills needed to direct and mentor team members on organizational initiatives, provide feedback and support career growth

  • Preferred: Experience Leading Leaders and guiding them in delivering strategic initiatives

  • Preferred: Set long-term vision and strategic planning for area of responsibility

  • Preferred: Maintain financial control and accountability on capital and operating expenses for all assigned areas of responsibility

  • Preferred: Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

  • Preferred: Dedicated focus toward innovation and continuous improvement and a proven track record of strategic and data-driven decision making- finding ways to move forward

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $166,850 per year to $ $185,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
