Lead a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain method and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will estimate manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. You and your team will add value and expertise to the Charlotte NC by sustaining support by identifying cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•  Develop, implement and maintain quality policies, procedures, standards, forms and records.

•  Oversee corrective/preventive action system and follow-up on implementation and documentation.

•  Prepare reports for management which demonstrate trends and help direct improvement efforts.

•  Conduct internal audits of the quality system to verify conformance to documented quality policies, procedures, standards and record keeping and controlling authority.

•  Track customer returns, internal defects test yields, scrap and downtime reports and other nonconforming conditions and report the status and corrective action to management.

•  Partner with Manufacturing and Technology groups to develop recommendations and execute corrective and preventive measures using standard quality tools.

•  Supervise Quality Engineers, technicians and inspectors ensuring adherence to standard work.

•  Hire, train, review work, assist employees, evaluate performance, enforce company rules and recommend changes in employee status.

•  Risk analysis

•  Coordinate resolution

•  Cost improvement analysis

•  Drive process and technical solutions

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

      •  Some experience of leading technical teams

      •  Product discipline of mechanical or component experience

      •  Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others
