Job Description SummaryThis leader will be responsible for leading the cross-functional efforts focused on improving engine hardware availability from GE Aerospace sites and outside vendors for CF6, CFM and LM500/2500 commercial derivative engine production. They will own the development and execution of part-level action plans for constraint hardware and will lead the Boots-on-the-Ground initiative, working with specific GE sites and suppliers to launch projects aimed at improving on-time hardware delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analytical effort to identify top sites, suppliers and hardware that impact CF6, CFM and LM500/2500 commercial derivative engine on-time delivery and cost.
  • Act as a trusted partner with the Sourcing, Fulfillment and Supplier Quality teams to ensure effective engagement and collaboration in the effort to improve on-time hardware delivery from GE Aerospace sites and outside vendors.
  • Work with these cross-functional partners and Lean team to develop detailed, actionable and impactful part-level action plans to improve on-time delivery for constraining hardware.
  • Drive the effective and timely execution of these action plans to improve engine on-time delivery.
  • Ensure improvement actions implemented at GE Aerospace sites or outside vendors are sustained over time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited University or College
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in Industrial Production, Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering.

Desired Qualification

  • Working experience in a manufacturing/production environment in the Aerospace industry
  • Lean experience, especially in data analysis, as well as the development and execution of problem-solving reports and action plans.
  • Experience evaluating manufacturing processes (routers, process flow, non-conformance management, etc.) and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Exceptional program/project management and organizational skills.
  • Superior influencing and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to GE Aerospace and outside vendor sites.
  • Familiarity with blueprints, hardware design and manufacturing processes
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean certification

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
