We are looking for a Sr. Quality Control Supervisor for our Geismar, LA location. 

This role involves overseeing and managing all aspects of site laboratory operations, including supervision, scheduling, and training. The focus is on standardizing processes, implementing best practices, and staying current with technological advances. The position ensures compliance with government regulations and certification requirements, drives continuous improvement using Six Sigma and Lean techniques, and maintains quality assurance programs. Key success factors include achieving goals, maximizing synergies, improving growth metrics, implementing Management Operating Systems (MOS), and aligning analytical activities with business needs. The role also involves benchmarking with other Laboratory Leaders to implement best practices and providing technical support as needed.

Responsibilities 

•Responsible for all site laboratory activities including supervision, scheduling, training, and development.
•Ensures processes are standardized in the laboratories where applicable. 
•Implements best practices across all laboratory areas.
•Ensures laboratories remain current with technological advances. 
•Implements standard operating procedures and cross-training in support of Management Operating Systems (MOS).
•Ensures laboratories adhere to applicable government regulations, customer requirements, and certification requirements.
•Drives continuous laboratory improvement utilizing Six Sigma and Lean techniques.
•Ensures analytical data and services meet internal and external customer needs and expectations. 
•Monitors customer satisfaction.
•Develop laboratory goals that support site, business, and corporate area initiatives.
•Assures the quality and integrity of laboratory data. 
•Maintains laboratory quality assurance programs.
•Assists in the development and review of sampling procedures, policies, and methods.
•Ensures analytical instruments are calibrated and maintained. Troubleshoots instrument problems if necessary.
•Coordinates and conducts Measurement Systems Analyses - including Gage R&R studies.
•Maintains Laboratory Information Management System, including customer COA formatting.
•Responsible for the implementation of corrective actions for laboratory safety, quality, and environmental audit findings and nonconformances.
•Ensures the laboratory adheres to safe work practices and to the sites Chemical Hygiene Plan.
•Assists in the maintenance of plant ISO 9001, IATF 164949, and cGMP quality systems as required.
•Assists in the preparation of statistical data for customers, production units, and/or business units.
•Provides technical support and performs special assignments as required.
•Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as required.

•Maintain/Improve all laboratories growth metric performance. 
•Ensure the implementation of MOS across the Quality Control function.
•Learn and improve laboratory analytical procedures and processes.
•Expected to work with little supervision and support other departments to meet their needs.
•Align analytical activities with business needs and goals.
•Benchmark with other Laboratory Leaders to implement best practices.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE

•Prior supervisory experience required. 
•ISO 9001, IATF 16494, and cGMP compliance experience

WE VALUE

•B.S.in Chemistry or related technical discipline preferred. 
•5+ years laboratory experience, preferably in a chemical plant environment.
•Strong statistical (Minitab, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)  
•Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
