At Honeywell Aerospace Advanced Connected Sustainability Technologies (ACST), our outstanding team of scientists, engineers, and professionals develop groundbreaking technology by applying their expertise in complex hardware and software control systems, atomic physics, ultra-high vacuum environments, cryogenics, cyber security, and more.

Honeywells ACST team is seeking a Sr R&D Supervisor for our Golden Valley, MN location. In this role, you will manage a group of technical team members in support of Honeywell ACST programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct supervision of technicians and junior scientists including mentoring, training, work assignments, performance reviews, succession planning, and behavior/performance issue resolution
  • Coordination of lab safety and compliance, calibration and maintenance of equipment, material tagging/tracking, supplies inventory, and facility improvements
  • Ownership of 5S process initiatives to standardize and improve lab services to internal and external customers
  • Oversee development and documentation of standard operating procedures
  • Identification and purchasing of equipment and supplies
  • Conducting activities in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with established HS&E requirements, taking necessary actions to prevent unsafe conditions in the labs

U.S. Citizenship required to obtain and maintain government security clearance

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical, engineering, or laboratory environment
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team, including performance management
  • U.S. Citizenship required to obtain and maintain government security clearance
