Job Description SummaryAs the Sr. Staff Technical Product Manager, you will act as a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Product Owner, responsible for creating a clear strategic direction for development needs and conveying the vision to the build and operations team. You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Product Managers, Technical Architects, Functional and Business Process Owners, Product Owners, and Developers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the overall product strategy and roadmap for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) product within the Model Based Enterprise (MBE) product category.
  • Establish deep network with various systems engineering stakeholders within GE Aerospace and collaborate with them to identify MBSE priorities.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the GE Aerospace business processes, particularly in Systems Engineering.
  • Work cross functionally with other products (e.g., MBD, MBM, PLM, DTE) to align activities and deliverables.
  • Analyze enterprise solutions and develops a road map along with an implementation plan.
  • Provide leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout the domain.
  • Partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.
  • Participate in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.
  • Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership.
  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE Business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR associate degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or IT
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
  • Reside in Cincinnati, Ohio area, or willing to relocate.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of Model Based Enterprise concepts.
  • Experience in working with systems engineering processes and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Computational Geometry concepts/application (e.g., NX).
  • Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) configuration and customization (e.g., Teamcenter).
  • Understanding of SCRUM/Agile software development methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of “Digital Thread” concepts.
  • Should possess good knowledge and experience of Systems Engineering business process, function, and roles, System Engineering technologies and Systems Engineering industry frameworks and standards.
  • Experience in Systems Modeling/Analysis including flow-down of requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of RFLP methodologies and modeling technologies ( e.g. SysML).
  • Familiar with Validation & Verification strategies.
