Job Description:

CASAS is looking to hire a seasoned A&P Mechanic as the Station Manager for its Aviation Research Systems FAA Part 145 repair station located at the Sandy River Airport in Sandy, Oregon. This repair station is an authorized Garmin dealership and owner of fifteen FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and a Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) for Beech aircraft models.  In addition to A&P mechanic work, this position will be responsible for managing the repair station operations at the Sandy, Oregon facility.

  • Manage all resources to maintain a safe and productive station.
  • Manage the repair station’s financial performance to meet company’s financial plan.
  • Resolve employee and customer questions and issues.
  • Ensure application of necessary labor and performance of personnel to meet goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
  • Provide necessary training to maintain a highly skilled work force.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained in a clean, orderly manner and present a proper image.
  • Directly manage manpower and schedules to accomplish customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with all Company policies and applicable FAA regulations/guidance.
  • Review and sign off bi-weekly payroll.
  • Monitor all events related to customer aircraft, coordinate to ensure that customer commitments are met.
  • Identify event discrepancies and provide customer with appropriate options.
  • Review customer invoices for accuracy of signoffs, labor, material issues and pricing.
  • Resolve customer billing disputes.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blue prints/drawings and aircraft wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to legally operate a motorized vehicle.
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and avionics systems.
  • Perform all airframe and power plant repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements.
  • Removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts; and aircraft testing.
  • Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment.
  • Complete all required maintenance records and accurately record time worked on work order.
  • Tow and park aircraft.
  • Perform other aircraft maintenance work as may be required.
Job Requirements:
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License w/minimum of five (5) years experience required.
  • Avionics experience and/or formal training, to include Garmin avionics products and wire harness building preferred.
  • Must have extensive technical knowledge of GA piston-engine aircraft.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams to successfully complete aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience building strong working relations with customers.
  • An in-depth knowledge of FAA Part 145 and other associated aircraft maintenance regulatory guidance.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical, as well as a criminal background check.
