POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for planning, coordinating, and managing aircraft maintenance and modification activities to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality completion. Assists Chief and Manager of Maintenance in developing and implementing policies, goals, and objectives for the department. Coordinates closely with related departments to maintain schedules and implement necessary changes. Assigns, trains, directs, and appraises maintenance mechanics and leads, while ensuring safety regulations and quality standards are adhered to. Completes related documentation as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Reads, understands, and interprets applicable maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair or replacement.
- Assists Management in developing short- and long-term goals and objectives; provides suggestions and recommendations.
- Participates in developing department policies and procedures, ensuring they support company-wide objectives and comply with production and quality standards.
- Conducts periodic reviews of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving standards.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of maintenance and modification installations.
- Effectively supervises assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance, training, and development.
- Ensures effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with company personnel and management.
- Provides suggestions for improved productivity and ensures documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
- Maintains professionalism for self and staff while upholding company values.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial aircraft maintenance or modification.
- 4+ years of supervisory or lead experience in an aircraft maintenance setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Education from an FAA-approved aircraft maintenance and mechanic training program.
- GEN-FAM for B777, B787, A319/320/321.

- Ability to troubleshoot, remove/replace, inspect, or adjust/rig aircraft systems, subsystems, and components (e.g., powerplant, landing gear, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, air conditioning, and auxiliary power units).
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, ATA codes, applicable F.A.R.s, and documentation/sign-off procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position operates in both indoor and outdoor settings. Indoor work includes office and warehouse environments requiring standard office equipment and safety gear. Outdoor work includes parking lots and aircraft runways. Noise levels are occasionally loud. The role is occasionally subject to extreme temperatures (above 100°F or below 32°F). Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and other conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSRegularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb. Requires climbing ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Frequent lifting and/or moving of items over 50 lbs. Medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 25 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
