None/Not RequiredThe Quality Control Supervisor will be the Front-Line Leader for a team of Inspectors supporting the Fort Worth Military Landing Gear Site. You will be expected to effectively collaborate and partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, and Customers, to ensure functional and business objectives are met.
As the supervisor, you will play a critical role in setting day-to-day objectives for the team that aligns with daily, weekly, and monthly targets for the site. You will assign tasks to Inspectors, monitor personnel performance, ensure adequate training and development, and improve processes to facilitate steady workflow and productivity.
What You Will Do:
- Assign daily tasks to the inspection team in alignment with site objectives
- Lead, train, coach, and mentor Inspectors to ensure accountability and skill development
- Monitor Inspector performance and take appropriate action as needed
- Facilitate Real-Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) to ensure roadblocks are removed
- Achieve functional and value stream target performance levels through use of Leader Standard Work, Tiered Accountability, Visual Management, rapid decision making in response to priority changes, and effective RCCA
- Constantly engage with Operations and Quality peers to ensure adequate partnership in achieving site objectives
- Interface with on-site customer source inspectors and DCMA to resolve concerns in a timely manner
- Provide technical guidance to the Inspection Team and Operations on quality standards, specifications, and processes
- Engage with Quality Engineering/Assurance to develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation including work instructions and inspection plans
- Promote a culture of risk identification, mitigation, and proactive problem-solving.
- Contribute to the goal-setting and strategic planning efforts of the team, department, and site.
- Continuously improve and maintain relevant skills, knowledge, qualifications, and certifications.
- Expected to be part of the Material Review Board with signatory authority on preliminary and MRB disposition review
Must Have Qualifications:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience in an assembly environment
- Prior experience as an Assembly or Test Inspector
- Prior supervisory experience to include leading, coaching mentoring, and holding a team of inspectors accountable
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience within the Aerospace industry
- Ability to understand and interpret technical data in engineering, such as manufacturing or part drawings, to provide guidance to cross functional teams.
- Proficient use of SAP and Excel
- RTX CORE Champion Certified or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
- Proficiency in Solumina MES and Tableau

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
