POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with managing, planning, and coordinating the activities of shipping, receiving and the stockrooms. This is a supervisor level position that has no direct reports and reports to the Warehouse Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages, plans, and coordinates all Warehouse activities.
- Supervises and directs all assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Maintains warehouse staff by orienting and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for the maintenance and safety compliance of Warehouse facilities.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional business relations with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and external contacts.
- Effectively supervises stockroom, shipping and receiving personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of supervisory/management experience, including inventory management.
- 6+ years of total related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Aviation parts/tooling inventory experience
- Additional related training or education
