Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supplier Development Manager to join our Procurement department based near a major airport hub in the U.S.

You will be part of a team developing supplier activities. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will be involved in aiming at securing Aircraft deliveries on time and with perfect quality.

The Procurement team&39;s mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and supplying to the overall competitiveness of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.

This position will primarily be a remote role, and we would like this candidate to be located near a major airport hub so you are able to jump on an airplane and get to the supplier site when needed. Ideally, we would love it if this candidate were in a location where we have an office, but that is not the focus. The focus is finding someone with autonomy and a self-starting mentality to make things happen.

• Depending on certain situations, this position can require up to 80 travel, primarily domestically; but occasionally internationally.

• A Bachelors&39; Degree in Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of eight (8) years in professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Program Management
• Must have demonstrable experience applying quality management tools/techniques
• Supplier Recovery and Crisis Management
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Six Sigma
• Practical Problem Solving
• Lean methodologies
• Transfers of Work between Production sites and/or to other countries
