We are currently seeking a Project Management Specialist to join our Supply Chain team on a full-time permanent basis based 100 onsite in Port Melbourne.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the BAA commercial supply chain management team who manage over 300 suppliers globally and balance a range of change projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and participate in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies
- Achieve desired outcomes on projects, on-time and within budget. Able to define the project, design and plan the project
- Control and deliver project deliverables and optimize the contribution of the people involved
- Proactive management of Risk, Issues and Opportunities
- Participate in managing supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations
- Develop in depth knowledge of suppliers organization, processes, policies and procedures, products, requirements etc.
- Provide outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- Entry Level Project Management experience and a desire to further your Project Management skills
- Experience in an Engineering, Manufacturing and / or Supply Chain environment
- Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various procurement departments/disciplines
- Able to manage competing priorities with short time frames
- Able to take initiative, work proactively and be a part of the team
- Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in customer / supplier interaction, and negotiation
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management or relative discipline is preferred although not essential
Additional Information:
This is a non-EBA Position IJC HAD9I2, remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6 month probationary period.
