Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supply Chain Quality Manager(Cabin) to join our procurement team based in Newport Beach, CA.
This position is responsible for various program suppliers and is accountable for ensuring on time delivery and on quality of cabin equipment (Monuments, Floor to Floor, IFE, seats, etc. work packages) for Airbus Aircrafts. The Overseas Supply Chain Quality manager is in daily contact with suppliers and internal customers (located in US and Europe). They draw on their past expertise in Quality Management and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate Supply Chain issues. The nature of the job requires a high level of autonomy and a good level of soft skills including communication.

Your Challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Supply Chain and Quality Management: 70
Work on-site at either the allocated supplier site or in an Airbus office minimum 3 days per week.
Ensure maturity and robustness of Cabin Supplier’s manufacturing and supply chain processes to avoid supply failures
Utilize best practices and quality management techniques to continuously improve Supply Chain related performances for deliveries of supplied products
Assess supplier capacity and capability to secure ramp-up period as well as Airbus industrial objectives (major planning changes, ramp down, etc.)
Monitor and analyze performance through Key Performance Indicators and organize the surveillance of the suppliers through audits, assessments, recovery plan and mission, CID (Corrective, Improvement, Development) and industrial risks management with internal and external concerned parties
Appropriately monitor major industrial risks, major changes (industrial transfers, major planning changes) and supporting design changes on an industrial point of view in order to protect Airbus operations
Initiate and follow recovery plans with Suppliers in case of delivery performances degradation to ensure deliveries are back to Airbus requirements
Ensure Suppliers’ preventive/corrective action plans are managed and achievements are at the expected level in terms of end results.
Prepare and support regular management reviews (PRM, Industrial Senior Management Meeting, Quality Supply Chain Meetings) with suppliers to review regularly delivery and supply chain performances and ensuring that preventive/corrective & improvement actions are continuously undertaken.
Internal Stakeholder Management: 20
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, such as MFT leaders, Programs and Final Assembly Lines (FALs). This includes communication, customer / supplier relation & meetings, and improvement actions.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or similar field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar field
Experience:
Required: 6&43; years professional experience in a procurement operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.
Preferred: 10&43; years of relevant professional experience. Aerospace industry and/or manufacturing experience
Licensure/Certifications:
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Required: Knowledge of Supply Chain and Quality Processes
Preferred: Knowledge of Quality Regulations, Quality Core Tools Knowledge, Practical Problem Solving, International Mgmt. system standards, Authorities / Regulations / Standards, Knowledge of QMS, Auditing/Assessing, IPCA&43; and CCP tools
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

The Job holder will be part of a team and will be able to act autonomously and but operationally driven by the Procurement commodity in Europe. The management support for the Job Holder is US based, as are the suppliers. Most internal customers will be based in Europe. This role will manage complex and high profile suppliers.
Organizational information:
The job holder will be part of the Airbus Americas Procurement team whose internal customer is the Procurement Operations Cabin organization in Europe primarily and all Airbus FALs.
Physical Requirements:
The job content requires the ability to travel via car and airplane. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and view computer monitor for long periods of time. Requires hearing and vision.
Salary range:
Salary range based on the required profile: $135000 - 150000/year. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
