Description:The Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) will be an advanced and modern combat ship, equipped with next generation technology to capably support and protect the men and women of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) as they fulfill their wide range of missions around the world, from humanitarian assistance to high-intensity conflicts, for the next 40+ years. The CSC project is the largest and most complex shipbuilding initiative in Canada since World War II. This project will also help revitalize the Canadian shipbuilding industry by creating long-term, sustainable, high-tech jobs in Canada for the next 3-4 decades, enabling our ability to support the ships domestically when in service.
Irving Shipbuilding Industries is the Prime contractor to the Government of Canada and Lockheed Martin the major subcontractor to provide the Ship Design and the Combat System. The program is currently in the design phase with work underway for the Critical Design Review (CDR).
The Supply Chain Lead for the CSC program is responsible for the successful execution of the entirety of the CSC Supply Chain. The CSC Supply Chain encompasses ~ 20 Complexity 1-3 subcontracts for Combat Systems and Design/Integration Subcontractors. The effort is in excess of $2B of Subcontract Scope. This role leads a team of ~ 20 Supply Chain professionals located primarily in Canada and is responsible for supply chain strategy, supplier execution challenges, supporting RFP creation/evaluation, engaging directly with the Canadian customer, managing supplier Earned Value, internal reporting including INAR, PAR, etc.
Preferred candidate should have experience working in dynamic non-traditional environments, working with a geographically dispersed virtual team, communicating to senior leadership levels, and experience managing large subcontracts.
Job will require travel to key supplier, internal, and customer meetings. Selected leader will build effective supplier, internal/external customer & reporting team relationships.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 years or more of professional experience; or 13 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

• Experience with managing Large Subcontracts.
• Possess Excellent Communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation to effectively communicate business cases, statuses, and concerns to all levels of Executive Management – Functional, Program, Supplier, End-Customer, etc.
• Experience with negotiating unique terms and conditions and contract changes with large suppliers.
• Strong Project Management experience with ability to execute complex activities which will require Customer engagement.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
