An opportunity for a Supply Chain and Quality Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid), in order to support the Fuel Power & Landing Gear department.

This department is a dynamic and transversal organization within the Procurement function, giving support to various programs, products and plants. We are part of a transnational organization with a very wide view of our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and as ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions. Will manage complex and international suppliers, with top level reporting needed.

  • Manage supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance. In case of low performance, will identify and implemnet improvement projects.

  • Maintain a close communication and coordination with the operational teams at internal customer sites, to ensure the contribution of all relevant functions to the delivery of procured goods or services.

  • Assess suppliers during the tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision.

  • Manage supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance.

  • Manage supplier quality Approval/Authorization, ensure that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

  • Monitor or support new product introduction to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase.

  • Provide consolidated forecasts to suppliers and ensure that suppliers will have the required capacity.

  • Assess the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to the Supplier development.

  • Audit the supplier and assure compliance with regulations.

  • Education: Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience in Procurement and Quality function (Supply Chain basic, Root Cause Analysis principles and methodology, project management).

  • Soft skills: proactive person with negotiation skills.

  • Languages: Advanced level in English.

  • Valuable / Nice to have: Experience working with suppliers would be appreciated, as well as experience with the IPCA methodology and APQP.
