Description:The Director of Field Operations Fleet Support (FS) supports Lines of Business (LOBs) and will focus on: Direct and principal Sustainment Operations point of contact for execution and delivery of Sustainment products and services for the LOB. Achievement of schedule, technical and quality performance targets in support of LOB strategies, goals, and objectives. Interface with programs, functions and suppliers to ensure fulfillment of needs, achievement of customer satisfaction, and growth in the line of business. Provides strategic guidance to facilitate new business growth and business retention.

Leads Field Operations Fleet Support team, principle POC for all matters. Commonly interfaces with senior, internal and external executive and senior leadership. Responsible for hiring, deployment and management of onsite teams and integrated support of 24/7 Customer Support Centers (CSC) to support fleet performance. Reviews and determines if requirements are supportable, and ensures requirements are executed. Active role in integrating readiness initiatives across Sustainment teams to optimize fielded performance. Manages and ensures delivery of Product Support Resources. Fleet engagement focused on the identification of enablers to optimize AVA, Mission Effectiveness, and Mission Capable rates. Deployment Planning/Contingency Ops Integration, Special Test Equipment (STE) Management, Integration of Readiness improvement opportunities. Review and action engineering request trends from value streams to initiate and agree across value streams and correction actions. Onsite and technical field support, Sustainment assistance, On-site troubleshooting to assist customers in resolving issues, 24/7 CSC support, Data collection and trend analysis to mature weapon systems, training systems, and support systems, training and continuity to grow organic workforce, Ship, site ready for operation.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with technical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams
• Demonstrated experience with strategic plan formulation.
• Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex and large-scale technical issues/challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to foster customer relationships.
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex global and/or diverse teams.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant and technical experience
• Masters degree in a related field.
• Wide variety of customer experience, with specific experience supporting a government customer.
• Experience in leading technical talent and building pipelines to sustain technical expertise within the organization.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
