What You Will Be Doing
The Sustainment Lifecycle Manager plays a critical role in supporting the long-term readiness and affordability of the F-35 fleet. Based in Fort Worth, TX, this position is part of the Fleet Optimization team within the F-35 Sustainment organization. The successful candidate will lead initiatives that directly impact aircraft availability, mission readiness, and lifecycle cost efficiency. Through cross-functional collaboration, data-driven analysis, and continuous improvement, you will help shape and sustain the operational performance of one of the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Sustainment Improvement Projects (SIPs) to enhance aircraft availability, performance, and mission readiness.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of sustainment performance data, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable solutions.

- Evaluate and propose enhancements to maintenance strategies, procedures, and plans to optimize lifecycle cost and fleet availability.

- Review and assess supply posture and logistics processes, driving changes that support cost-effective and reliable operations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, and operations to align sustainment efforts with program objectives.

- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations summarizing analysis results, proposed initiatives, risks, and expected outcomes.

- Support the development and refinement of long-term sustainment strategies, including predictive maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.

- Monitor and report progress of initiatives, ensuring alignment with performance goals, budget constraints, and customer expectations.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college

• Aircraft maintenance operations knowledge

• Working knowledge of 5th Gen (F-22/F-35) mission systems or air vehicle/vehicle systems

• Project Management experience to lead and conduct analysis of complex sustainment/ engineering issues.

• Experience with analysis tools, data management or comparative analysis.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
