Team Leader, HR Shared Services
Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing, leading, and driving operational excellence of the Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) team including benefits administration, HR Information Systems (HRIS) & Payroll oversight, and various other HR transaction/operation services for Precision Products & Composites Vermont.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the general administration of employee benefit programs including group medical, dental, life, and disability insurance; 401(k), flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and employee pension plans ensuring the escalation of issues to Subject Matter Experts as required.
- Manages the HRSS team’s processing of HR transactions and maintenance of employee records for Precision Products & Composites Vermont, identifies opportunities for improvement and drives change through automation, streamlining, and implementation of best practices.
- Collaborates and partners with HR business leadership to evaluate project/work requests and determines appropriate priority, internal resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes.
- Effectively manage staff to ensure a high level of service while providing leadership, coaching and development opportunities to team members.
- Remain informed of enterprise-wide HR/pay policies and practices, and federal/state employment-related requirements to ensure team’s accuracy, consistency and compliance of all services provided.
- Leads strategic initiatives, projects, and programs from planning to execution within the Shared Services team.
- Manages the Shared Services’ team involvement with testing HRIS upgrades and new system functionality.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills to communicate key messages to multiple audiences with a proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and project management skills with a proven track record of stewarding and managing projects and change.
Strong practical experience and knowledge of Human Resources operations.Significant experience with development and execution of process redesign including implementation/leveraging of technology to improve organization efficiencies.Strong knowledge for effective resolution of problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, and/or government laws/regulations affecting employees and their employment including but not limited to: HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Worker’s Compensation, and ACA.Working knowledge of HR systems required. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce preferred.Microsoft Office proficiency including strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in human resources, business administration or a related field is required.
- 7+ years’ benefits and/or human resources experience
Preferred
- Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Multi-state benefits and human resources experience.
- Experience with managing a HR Shared Services function/team
- SPHR or PHR Certification
