Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First Line Tooling and Tow Team Manager (Level K) to lead our 787 Tooling & Tow Team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position is weekend shift, working three 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
You will develop and maintain cross-functional relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders across the Boeing South Carolina site. The team is involved in leading critical 787 airplane movement as well as tool fabrication. Key skills include promoting a safety & quality culture for the team, professional collaboration, and operations leadership.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines supporting airplane movement within flightline operations
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
Executes and leads within the Boeing Production System (BPS) process
Engages and promotes a safety and quality culture
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops, leads, coaches, and motivates employees
Influences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal/informal role
1+ years of experience with tool fabrication
1+ years of experience with flightline operations
Willingness to work any shift assigned
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with tool repair and preventative maintenance
3+ years of experience teaching, coaching and developing others

This position is weekend shift, working three 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Willingness to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekdays, is required based on business needs.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as spanet and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
