In this role you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage Red Handling operations across Oslo, Copenhagen, and Spain.
- Oversee resource allocation, departmental budgets, and overall Business Unit performance.
- Ensure full compliance with Safety, Security, and operational standards in line with the company Safety Management System.
- Facilitate internal and external safety and compliance audits.
- Develop and deliver competency-based training for all staff.
- Create and maintain SOPs in accordance with the Norwegian Ground Operations Manual.
- Deliver high-quality ground handling services and implement corrective actions when required.
- Ensure all functions adhere to the airline GOM and company procedures.
- Lead, develop, and support direct-report staff.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Support Procurement in supplier RFP processes for Red Handling.
- Manage Service Level Agreements, KPIs, and customer journey standards.
- Conduct weekly operational meetings with stakeholders and monthly performance reviews with external suppliers.
- Perform additional duties as required by the company.
You are our ideal candidate if:
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation/Business preferred.
- 5+ years of senior management experience in aviation.
- Strong knowledge of IATA ground handling standards (check‑in, ramp, load control, cargo, ops).
- Proven experience creating SOPs, SLAs, and operational manuals.
- Strong leadership managing large, remote teams.
- Experience delivering major projects and managing budgets.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and driving change.
- Strong business acumen with lean and process‑improvement experience.
- Experience in budget forecasting and financial control.
- Strong analytical and customer‑centric mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
