SUMMARY

Principal advisor to the Director of Operations on all matters related to the safe operation and employment of the program aircraft globally. Serves as the "Chief Pilot" equivalent for the entire aircrew force at all locations. The Chief of Standards will be the single-point of contact accountable to the Operations Manager for the execution of RW and FW flight training operations at the customers CONUS training locations and standardization and oversight of the contractors flight crew force assigned to operating over 70 aircraft globally of 8 different FW and RW types globally. Individual will also be responsible for training records management and aircraft flight and training manual configuration management ensuring that contractual and policy requirements are adhered to and that all areas create, implement and maintain procedures and processes compliant with all relevant guidelines, while assuring the highest quality of flight operations support, training and safety. Will set departmental standards, goals and objectives as well as training and standardization initiatives as a critical part of meeting or exceeding the company's mission and obligation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensures the relevance and effectiveness of all aircrew training, tactics and mission equipment. 

- Supervise customer flight training and operations events.

- Supervise all standards and training personnel in the performance of their duties and ensure the personnels are functioning as a cohesive team in order to accomplish the departments assigned mission.

- Manage and standardize all check airmen and ensure that the proper tools are in place for those individuals to perform their assigned work functions. - Assist in the selection process and manage effectiveness to produce high caliber employees in a timely manner.

- Maintain an intimate knowledge of FAA regulations, orders, and notices as they apply to the entire operation.

- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on matters relating to standardization and training.

- Establish staffing levels commensurate with current and projected workload.

- Assist the Program Manager, and the Chief of Operations when required in the performance of duties or decision making process.

- Prepare pilot proficiency records and all other documents pertaining to crew member currency and qualification.

- Manage and standardize all instructors and ensure that the proper tools are in place for those individuals to perform their assigned work functions.

- Develop and oversee all training programs and ensure their relevance, accuracy and regulatory compliance.

- Ensure all training records have accuracy and are within regulatory compliance.

- Direct the selection process and manage its effectiveness in producing the highest caliber of employee in a timely manner.

- Maintain a training schedule and distribute appropriately to internal customers.

- Establish staffing levels commensurate with current and projected workload.

- Maintain a reference library for use by all company personnel to address all operational and training concerns and questions.

- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

- Position requires a U.S. security clearance.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

- Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- 3,000 total aircraft flight hours including 1,000 hours of turbine engine time.

- Night Vision Goggle qualified (NVG) with 300 hours of NVG experience.

- 500 hours turbine instructor pilot or check pilot in a civil or military organization.

- Minimum of five (5) years experience managing training programs in a formal civilian or military training activity.

- Strong English speaking and written communication skill.

- FAA Commercial Instrument Airmans Certificate--Rotorcraft Helicopter

- FAA CFI/CFII

- Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate

- Branch 15 Aviation MOS series or other commercial/military equivalent.

PREFERRED:

- Standardization Pilot experience in the Military and/or civilian aviation community.

- FAA Commercial Instrument Airmans Cerificate--Airplane (Fixed Wing)

- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate

- Flying duties desired but not required
