STS Technical Services is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor (Service & Parts) in Burton, Michigan. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse staff and operations while ensuring that key departmental objectives related to safety, quality, responsiveness, and productivity are consistently achieved. Ideal candidates will bring strong leadership skills, warehouse knowledge, and a proven ability to motivate teams in high-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support hourly warehouse employees
- Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive work environment
- Encourage high-performing behaviors and correct negative patterns when observed
- Use Quality Network problem-solving techniques to improve processes and outcomes
- Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) to enhance operational flow and workspace efficiency
- Maintain accurate payroll data using the Timekeeping System (TKS)
- Prepare A-3 reports to document problem resolution strategies
- Lead daily shift meetings to communicate objectives and capture employee feedback
- Conduct weekly safety observation tours and enforce safety compliance
- Plan and coordinate daily workloads across teams and shifts
- Monitor and enforce adherence to shop rules and labor agreements
- Perform daily SOP audits to ensure procedures are followed
- Guide team members through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process
- Communicate regularly with General Supervisors and Shop Committee on departmental updates
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; 1–2 years of additional technical or business school training preferred
- Skilled trades training or equivalent technical background is a plus
- 10+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, scheduling systems, and quality control practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
- High-level problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Understanding of workplace safety and standard warehouse procedures
- Proven track record of driving performance and achieving team objectives
