Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Engine Center (CEC) is looking for a Weekend Product Quality Manager to lead the Weekend Shift Quality Engineering and other quality process teams in a dynamic afterspanet environment. CEC is seeking a high-energy leader to own the execution of key elements of the Quality Management Systems, Quality Operations and Compliance.
The successful candidate will exhibit and foster behaviors that conform to the highest levels of business integrity and acumen, ensuring compliance to company, customer, regulatory, and other procedures, and requirements.
What You Will Do:
Manage CEC Weekend Quality Engineering and quality operations process teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally to promote technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
Conducts investigations, provides analysis and develops recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for products & processes
Drives and oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc requested quality reports and metrics
Performs Escape management procedures, investigations, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for internally produced products & processes.
Promote the Quality culture in the business, through compliance to the QMS and adherence to Quality Cardinal Rules
May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop ones skills.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience within Afterspanet aerospace industry or an Advanced degree and 7 years of Quality aerospace industry experience.
5 years’ experience in a supervision role or leadership position.
Knowledge of FAA and other NAA regulatory requirements for manufacturing operations, and repair stations.
Working knowledge of AS9100/AS9110/AS9120 experience
Quality Management Systems management experience
Practical to substantial knowledge of Aerospace projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Qualifications We Prefer:
FAA A&P Certificate desired but not required
SAP knowledge a plus
Organization/project management
Leadership skills to motivate, develop, positively encourage and train teams
Outstanding interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
High degree of computer proficiency
Strong mechanical aptitude
Detail oriented, data driven, and excellent decision-making skills
Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities
High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement
Able to function effectively without direct supervision
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or AS9100/9110 Auditor Certification
lean/continuous improvement certification (i.e., Six-Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Quality Engineer (CQE), etc.)

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
