Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate emergent, out-of-sequence production parts based on blueprint specifications
- Interpret moderately complex blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements and tolerances
- Develop and revise Machine Control Data (MCD) and part geometry for machining processes
- Support and assist machinists in completing production tasks and resolving machining issues
- Execute work from detailed verbal and written instructions to meet production and quality standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 3+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
- 1+ year of experience interpreting Machine Control Data (MCD)
- 1+ year of experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Boeing 787 program experience
- 3+ years of experience with manual mill and lathe machines
- 3+ years of experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines (3-axis and 5-axis)
- 3+ years of experience setting up NC/CNC machines, including:
- Probing
- Dial indicators
- Establishing machine set points
