Aircraft Machinist

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate emergent, out-of-sequence production parts based on blueprint specifications
• Interpret moderately complex blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements and tolerances
• Develop and revise Machine Control Data (MCD) and part geometry for machining processes
• Support and assist machinists in completing production tasks and resolving machining issues
• Execute work from detailed verbal and written instructions to meet production and quality standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• 3+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
• 1+ year of experience interpreting Machine Control Data (MCD)
• 1+ year of experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Boeing 787 program experience
• 3+ years of experience with manual mill and lathe machines
• 3+ years of experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines (3-axis and 5-axis)
• 3+ years of experience setting up NC/CNC machines, including:
• Probing
• Dial indicators
• Establishing machine set points
