Summary:
Conduct technical studies and operations analysis; prepare recommendations for equipment and manufacturing methods, including sequences for complex assemblies and components.
Author detailed work instructions, DRDI/DMT rework instructions, and MBOMs in SAP/Solumina/Corridor to optimize process efficiency and ensure zero defects.
Assist with make-or-buy proposals, vendor evaluations, negotiations, and problem resolution.
Conduct research and analysis to ensure compliance with requirements; prepare justification for equipment and facility requests.
Perform producibility studies from engineering drawings; participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) assessments.
Apply statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements; generate reports and data as needed.
Audit co-worker output for compliance with ME policies and procedures.
Integrate Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices into processes.
Lead and coordinate projects across multiple organizations with minimal supervision.
Support Safety, Sustainability, and Ergonomic initiatives.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan.
Ensure quality standards are maintained and recommend improvements.
Track and report daily/weekly activity status.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
18+ months of experience in manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical roles.
Strong knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles; Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred.
Familiarity with engineering configuration, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math.
Proficient in computerized systems, including CADAM, CATIA, Solumina, SAP, Corridor.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
