Summary:
Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual operations.
Install parts and assemblies including landing gear, control surfaces, exterior panels, interior components (carpets, stowbins, sidewalls, lavatories, galleys, seats).
Install aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.
Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment (screwdrivers, ratchets, power tools, multimeters, continuity testers).
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Typically 1+ year of related work experience or equivalent (vocational school/Associate acceptable).
6+ months experience using computer applications (Internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, or similar).
6+ months experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
6+ months experience in advanced manufacturing, technical, or mechanical work using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
6+ months experience in structural parts fabrication and assembly processes/procedures.
Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Ability to perform physical tasks: kneeling, bending, reaching overhead, climbing/balancing (ladders, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching, twisting, standing, and walking.
Lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
