Description:You will be the Electronic Assembler with our dynamic Production Team. Our team is responsible for bringing electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies to life, working on a wide range of projects from modules and boards to panels and cables.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Assembler, you will be trained in-house to become responsible for performing a variety of tasks, from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations, to ensure the highest quality products. You will work from diagrams and drawings, using hand and power tools, jigs, and saws to bring our designs to life. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Performing soldering, bonding, wiring, routing, riveting, assembly, disassembly, touch-up, rework, cleaning, and minor modifications to assemblies and subassemblies
• Performing assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Collaborating with the team to meet production goals and deadlines
• Working from approved engineering drawings, mechanical blueprints, and quality inspection procedures
• Using measuring instruments and equipment to perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections
• Maintaining logs, records, and completing required paperwork
• Participating in a 3-week paid training program to develop your skills and knowledge
• All candidates must have the ability to complete and pass a 3-week onsite paid training course which consists of: solder skills, plated through hole skills, cable and harness assembly skills, and surface mount technology skills

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have the desire and/or ability to use hand tools (i.e. torque wrench, drills and inspection tools, riveting tools, screwdrivers, power screwdriver, ratchet wrench, crimpers, cable tools and various other hand tools).
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and/or instructions.
• This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US citizen.
• This job will require lifting of up to 35 pounds.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Outlook) is a plus
• All candidates must have the ability to complete and pass a 3-week onsite paid training course which consists of: solder skills, plated through hole skills, cable and harness assembly skills, and surface mount technology skills
• Ability to work Second Shift and Overtime including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday’s, occasional holidays, or extended hours during the week when needed.
Desired Skills:
• Have completed and is certified in classroom electrical assembly and solder training. Trained to IPC and J-STD-001.
• Operating automated equipment, understanding of mechanical assembly and process flow.
• Prior SAP Software experience is a plus (on the job training will be provided).
• Strong teaming ability and effective communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem solving.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
