Responsibilities:
- Assemble structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual and automated tools per detailed work instructions
- Follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure conformance and quality standards
- Identify and escalate production constraints and roadblocks, using open and effective communication within the team
- Collaborate with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to mitigate risks using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies
- Contribute to Lean Manufacturing System (LMS) and 5S activities to improve workflow and workplace organization
- Apply Boeing Production System (BPS) principles to enhance production flow and efficiency
- Provide cross-training and mentoring to teammates to strengthen team performance
- Support overtime as needed to meet production schedules and customer commitments
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or associate degree in manufacturing or related field is a plus
- Experience:
- 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or fabrication
- 1+ year of experience following detailed work instructions, reading blueprints/drawings/specifications
- 1+ year using computer applications such as Microsoft Office, email, and web-based tools
- Preferred: 1+ year of aerospace industry experience
- Must be willing and able to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
