Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
As an Assembler, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders to machine both metallic and non-metallic pieces. You will also trim, drill, route, line up, and assemble materials, working with forming machine presses. Your role will involve setting up and breaking down production tools and aids, using various measuring equipment to ensure precision, and performing daily maintenance on machines.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machine tools like lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders.
- Trim, drill, route, line up, and assemble materials.
- Work with forming machines and presses.
- Set up and break down production tools and aids.
- Use gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring equipment to check precision.
- Perform daily machine maintenance, including maintaining fluid levels and cleaning.
- Monitor and check parts during production.
- Deburr and blend all machined parts.
Essential Skills
- Experience in setting up and operating machine tools.
- Ability to read blueprints for basic dimensions and tolerances.
- Proficiency with measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
- Math skills for basic calculations.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Knowledge of the aerospace industry is preferred.
- Trade school education in machining practices is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment includes assembly tasks in a non-climate-controlled setting, which can be hot in the summer. Personal Protective Equipment such as steel-toed boots and eye/ear protection is required. The role involves working in various teams, rotating every three months to different work areas to prevent burnout. The schedule includes multiple shifts, with some positions available Monday through Thursday with varying start and end times. The work involves working in 12 centers, focusing on producing parts for the aerospace industry.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
