Job Title: CNC MachinistJob Description
As a CNC Machinist, you will operate two CMS Poseidon 5-axis CNC machines, working primarily with composite materials, wood, and tool board. The role involves some programming, which can be trained, and utilizes Mastercam software. You will be responsible for machining parts, mold making, and creating parts for ground systems, jigs, and plywood. You are expected to rapidly make fixtures on the fly and monitor the machines performance. Critical thinking and the ability to communicate issues to engineers and programmers are essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, specifically CMS Poseidon 5-axis.
- Work with composite materials, wood, and tool board.
- Program machines using Mastercam, with training provided if necessary.
- Machine parts and make molds for ground systems, jigs, and plywood.
- Rapidly create fixtures as needed and monitor machine performance.
- Communicate issues and collaborate with engineers and programmers.
Essential Skills
- Experience as a CNC Operator, preferably with composite machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in problem-solving to troubleshoot machine issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in woodworking.
- Experience working with vacuum tables.

Work Environment
This role is based in a machine shop environment, distinct from a production setting. You will work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a high likelihood of overtime.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
