We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, with minimal supervision. The role involves performing simple to complex setups, changing tools, and making programming edits, while ensuring accuracy through inspection methods. The ideal candidate will generate CNC programs using CAM programming software, possess a thorough understanding of cutting feeds and speeds, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Perform simple to complex setups and make programming edits.
• Change tools such as inserts, drills, and mills.
• Generate CNC programs using CAM programming software.
• Verify changes through inspection methods.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5 Ss methodology.

• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines.
• Experience with CAM programming and CAD software.
• Knowledge of G Codes and tool composition/application.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Proficiency in MasterCAM Software.
• 3-5 years of experience for Level 2 CNC, 5 or more years for Level 3 CNC.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints in English.
• Strong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Aerospace experience preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in our Phoenix facility, working indoors. Available shifts include a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 5 AM to 5:30 PM, and a second shift from Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 10:30 PM. The weekend shift offers three 12-hour workdays, with compensation for 40 hours per week.
