Electro Mechanical Assembler – 2nd Shift

💰 $21.50/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced Electro Mechanical Assembler to support high-precision electronics manufacturing. In this role, you will assemble, inspect, test, and repair electro-mechanical components used in advanced electronic systems.

What You’ll DoAssembly
Build electro-mechanical assemblies from prints, schematics, and work instructions
Perform soldering on PCBs, solder cups, and small/fragile components
Strip, tin, crimp, twist, and terminate wires and connectors
Set up and operate crimping presses and bench-top equipment
Package finished assemblies and complete job tracking in ERP system
Inspection & Testing
Inspect assemblies for quality, fit, and function
Use measuring tools and test equipment to verify specifications
Identify defects, perform rework, and document nonconformances
Team Support & Communication
Work independently or as part of a production team
Support and guide junior assemblers when needed
Communicate issues and production status to leads and supervisors
Safety & Housekeeping
What You BringRequired
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of assembly or manufacturing experience
Strong soldering experience (PCBs, fine components, etc.)
Ability to read prints, schematics, and work instructions
Basic math and measurement skills (fractions, decimals, calipers, micrometers)
Basic computer or ERP system experience
IPC-A-610 or J-STD certification (current or expired acceptable)
Preferred
Experience in ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environments
Wire harness or connector assembly experience
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure
Prior experience mentoring or training others
Physical RequirementsFrequent use of hands for detailed assembly work
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout shift
Lift up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally
Good vision for close-up inspection work (including color differentiation)

Pay Details: $21.50 per hour
