The Fabrication Specialist A is responsible for assembling and fabricating metal and composite components using established drawings, production orders, and technical requirements. This role involves working with mechanical, electro-mechanical, and avionics assemblies while ensuring quality, precision, and compliance with safety standards. The position requires hands-on experience with tools, coatings, and fabrication processes in a production environment. The Fabrication Specialist supports manufacturing operations through efficient assembly and adherence to quality and safety protocols.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production orders.
* Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

* 1 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 3 or more months of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
* Experience working with safety, quality, and manufacturing performance metrics.
* Familiarity with Lean principles, including continuous improvement, standard work, and 5S. Job Duties & Functions
* Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
* Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
* Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products.
* Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
* Apply organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
* Work on components of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements. Physical Requirements & Environment
* Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
