Job Title: CNC Mill Operator - 3rd Shift
Job DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as a CNC Mill Operator, where you will be responsible for manufacturing quality products in CNC machining centers. This full-time, nonexempt position requires precision and attention to detail as you change materials and tools, inspect products, and ensure production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Read and accurately interpret internal and customer-provided engineering drawings and setup documents.
- Efficiently utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Make necessary adjustments to setups and processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Determine cutting tool needs and replace tools without product loss or damage.
- Utilize grinding and cutting tools, including air grinders, drill presses, manual mills, grinders, saws, and burr tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment using 5-S techniques and good housekeeping skills.
- Stop production when encountering quality or safety issues.
- Document shop loss procedures according to company guidelines.
- Accurately clock in and out using the company MRP system.
- Use proper lifting equipment or methods to prevent personal injury.
- Stay informed on all safety-related MSDS information.
- Follow procedures for extinguishing flammable materials.
- Understand proper machinery use when dealing with excessive weight.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor or manager.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Participate willingly in all safety training and meetings.
Essential Skills- 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience in a commercial or aerospace manufacturing facility.
- Proficiency in G and M codes and their functions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Mazak and Mazatrol systems.
- Familiarity with 3, 4, and 5 axis machining.
- Experience performing setups and runs on machines with controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, and Mazatrol.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled shop floor, with exposure to water-soluble coolants and loud machinery noise. Steel toe boots are required for safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
