As the starting point of the production line, the machinist operates and sets up manual and multi-axis CNC Lathes and milling machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Read and create G code on the program.
• Perform visual inspection.
• Create tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
• Inspect parts machined on the multi-axis CNC mill and lathe.
• Make minor program modifications.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions for adjustments or repairs.
• Participate in production planning.

• Machining Diploma
• 2-3 years of blueprint reading experience
• 1 year of experience with computer literacy in ERP Systems
• Proficiency in using lathe, mill, and micrometer

• Experience in the helicopter and aerospace industry is advantageous

Work Environment

Work in a clean and bright manufacturing facility on a 3-2-2 schedule with shifts from 6am to 6pm. Example schedule: work Saturday to Monday, off Tuesday and Wednesday, back to work Thursday and Friday.
