Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate manual machine tools to produce precision metal parts.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
3. Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
4. Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machines to ensure optimal performance.
5. Select appropriate tools, materials, and speeds for each job.
6. Maintain accurate records of production and quality control.
7. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and improve machining processes
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in machining preferred.
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, materials, and tooling.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess and maintain a current and valid driver license
- Meet the requirements of Airport Authority to receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions
Communication Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write with clear, concise correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization. Good grammar and spelling skills.
Computer Skills:
Must have basic skills in MS office applications including word, excel, access, and Microsoft outlook
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
· Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
· Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Work Environment:
Normal warehouse environment, with occasional exposure to engine noise and general shop conditions.
