Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Greenford, onsite with some flexibility (occasional remote working)
Rate: 30 PAYE (+ 4.36 Holiday pay)/ 40.91 Umbrella UP TO 35 PAYE (+5.09 Holiday pay)/ 47.73 Umbrella
Contract: 12 months (potential to extend or go permanent)

About the Role
Morson is currently recruiting a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our defence client at their Greenford facility. You’ll play a key part in reviewing production equipment, developing improvement strategies, and supporting long-term investment planning.
Key Responsibilities

Review and assess all production equipment, categorising each asset by breakdown risk.

Evaluate and optimise TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) processes.

Develop and implement mitigation plans – such as outsourcing, maintenance contracts, training, documentation improvements, or equipment replacement/overhaul.

Prepare and manage a 5-year capex strategy and plan.

Produce business cases for priority equipment replacements and outsourcing.

Draft purchase and equipment specifications to support implementation.

Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives across manufacturing operations.
About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or HNC in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline.

Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to prepare business cases and justify investment proposals.

Understanding of maintenance strategies, TPM, and equipment lifecycle management.
