Role Summary
* In this role, you will administer the effective allocation of manufacturing resources to support process planning creation and maintenance. You will manage Bills of Materials (BOM), Computer Aided Planning (CAP) routing creation, and manufacturing item orders to support manufacturing operations. You will apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge, interpret engineering drawings, and provide process planning support while ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and aerospace standards. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have two (2) years of college, two (2) years of experience in the aircraft industry, or completion of a related apprentice program.
* Must have demonstrated capability in applying GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
* Must have experience in technical writing or utilizing technical writing in an aerospace/manufacturing environment.
* Must have computer proficiency in planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/MRP software, tool design repositories, and CAD software.
* Must have knowledge of shop production and processing operations.
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have the ability to maintain records and schedules, meeting the companys cost control, schedule, and quality requirements.
* Must have the ability to train, direct, instruct, and validate production engineering work as required. Preferred Skills
* You will have experience in the manufacturing of composite or metallic materials.
* You will have experience working with machined parts. Job Duties / Functions
* You will be interrogating, analyzing, comprehending, and interpreting engineering drawings, models, BOMs, technical specifications, quality documents, and organizational procedures.
* You will be managing BOM consumption accurately for manufacturing operations.
* You will be creating and maintaining CAP routings and work sequence documentation.
* You will be generating manufacturing item orders/requests, including NC programs, tools/fixtures, and gages.
* You will be providing process planning support to manufacturing operations through production order maintenance and tool maintenance requests.
* You will be creating and maintaining dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions, material operation diagrams, and ply tables as required.
* You will be supporting production assessments and providing technical assistance to procurement and suppliers.
* You will be applying your aircraft manufacturing knowledge to train and direct team members, attend training, and complete competency-based testing as required.
* You will be maintaining compliance with organizational processes and procedures, ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing planning.
