Position Summary: Ensure timely kit deliveries to assembly and fabrication work centers and manages the prioritization of supply orders to address critical shortages. Investigate and resolve parts availability issues, review and propose changes to Order Policies, and maintain a Line of Balance for critical parts. The role involves executing inventory transactions, transporting materials, adjusting inventory levels, and initiating supply orders when inventory is below Safety Stock thresholds. Also manage work lists, utilize operations reports to optimize workflow, and possess advanced knowledge of material flow. Additional duties include investigating and reporting issues, performing housekeeping tasks, assisting with KPIs and training, and carrying out other duties as assigned. Typically reports to a supervisor. Essential Job Functions • Manufacturing Coordination: Coordinate with Production Control to ensure timely kit deliveries to assembly work stations. Order Prioritization: Manage the prioritization of supply orders to address critical shortages. • Parts Availability: Investigate and resolve shortage issues to optimize performance on assembly lines. • Planning Recommendations: Review and propose changes to Order Policies to maintain optimal inventory levels, including Safety Stock, Order Quantity Increments, and Min/Max Order Quantities. • Line of Balance: Maintain a Line of Balance for critical manufacturing parts and communicate status updates to relevant Supervisors and Managers. • Scrap: Execute Scrap Transactions as necessary when retrieving additional parts. Transport Materials: Retrieve and convey parts, equipment, and materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas. Load parts and materials onto carts or use appropriate material-moving equipment. Adjust Inventory Levels: Adjust inventory levels as required. Inventory: Issue shortages in Material to Issue to maintain accurate inventory levels. • ProductionPlanning: Initiate supply orders for inventory below Safety Stock thresholds. Manage Work to Do Lists: Monitor and maintain Work to Do Lists for assigned areas of responsibility. Utilize Operations Reports: Use various operations reports to maintain inventory and optimize workflow through assigned work centers. Understand Material Flow: Possess advanced knowledge of material flow and shop-floor layout throughout the facility. Inspect and Report: Scrutinize every aspect of the job and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the Supervisor. Perform Housekeeping: Perform routine housekeeping tasks as required by departmental standards. KPI’s: Assist supervisor with daily KPI’s utilizing BI reporting. Training: Assist supervisor with training and development. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. |
