Quality Engineer

Target salary range: $65,100 - $120,900.00

Quality Engineer job in Chandler, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense Company. In this full time, direct hire, salaried job you will Plan, direct, and coordinate all quality activities to assure optimum quality in products manufactured and assembled while driving continuous process improvement in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate quality activities by working with design engineers, manufacturing, planning and other disciplines to ensure the quality of the product.
• Attend and participate in daily management meetings alongside program support teams.
• Support Supplier Development Engineering when vendor hardware discrepancies are discovered.
• Analyze work instructions and procedures for errors and potential failure points.
• Inspect and review quality paperwork for completeness and correctness.
• Investigate internal and external quality concerns, lead cross functional teams to determine root cause, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Interface with the customers to complete the delivery order, including presentation of data packages and FAI’s
• Find innovative ways to improve quality through new process controls and ensure sustainment following successful implementation.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with ability to pass ATF Background check
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace/defense
• Training and demonstrated competency with APQP tools (i.e., D/PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP).
• Auditing experience including support of internal, customer, or registrar audits.
• Must have strong data analysis skills, including the ability to present the data in reports to support investigation conclusions.
• Candidate must be proficient in Word, Excel, and statistical software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Electronics or Ordnance and use of energetic materials, powders/propellants is a strong plus.
• Experience with lean manufacturing including Six-Sigma or ASQ certification is a strong plus.
