Manufacturing / Production Technician: $19.25 - $25.00 Per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Job Summary:
Assists other team members with lay-up and fabricate composite aircraft parts.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm. OT as required.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Assist in lay-up and fabrication of composite aircraft parts, major components, and structures using prepreg composite fabrics and other materials.
- Learning the Kanban system for SF and SR.
- Observe and learn the proper use of WI, Solumina, and the completion of the layup portion of CSOs.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Complete Cirrus University training
- Attention to detail required. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and always presentable. Apply the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
- Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
- Must be able to understand all process specifications and pertinent reference information.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines and report any hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions.

- May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, or Line Manager.

- High School Diploma or GED or 1-12 months experience and training combined
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training

Job duties can include multiple fabrication responsibilities including; hand fabrication of composite parts, tooling preparation and maintenance, cutting and trimming of various manufacturing materials, oven operation, and many more manufacturing processes.
Progression plan with pay increases:
- Technician Level I (6 months)
- Technician Level II-III (1-2 years)
- Technician Level IV (3-5 years)
Competency/Position Requirements:
A manufacturing technician will have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in a fast paced team environment, be dependable, have a passion for learning and possess attention to detail. All manufacturing employees must have a basic ability to use, or learn to use a computer to access Cirrus Aircraft electronic data & software.
Manual Dexterity:
You will need to use your hands with precision on small items and in small spaces. You must be quick and confident with your hands.
Qualifications: Good work history required. Ability to pass pre-employment drug test. A combination of schooling and general mechanical knowledge also considered relative experience and all should be detailed on your application and/or resume.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
