The Manufacturing Technician A (Laser Assembly Technician) will focus on Laser Transmitter manufacturing and works within a cleanroom environment, performing day-to-day operational needs of the business. This position installs, aligns, and operates laser transmitters and components. He/She assists in the build techniques to ensure the successful product output from the cleanroom and laser operations area.

* A minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior relevant experience
* Must be a United States Citizen. Preferred Skills
* A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
* Able to work weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives Job Duties & Functions
* Develops techniques and procedures for building lasers
* Assembles and tests optical, mechanical, and electrical subassemblies
* Completes optical bonding, cleaning, and inspection of laser units with close attention to detail
* Builds wiring harness, solders and performs PCB assembly of electrical and electrooptical subassemblies
* Identifies problems and issues, resolves most issues, and makes recommendations for improvements in yield
* Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed
* Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values
* Performs job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
