Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking Manufacturing Training Center (MTC) Workplace Integrators to join the St. Louis Manufacturing Training Center located in Berkeley, Missouri
The St. Louis site is standing up a Manufacturing Training Center (MTC) for all new hire mechanics joining our Fighter Programs. The purpose is to take new hire mechanics coming out of our Apprenticeship program and build on that training to further enhance their learning in a safe controlled environment yielding mechanics that can execute in our current production environment. The MTC will be delivering a repetitive experiential, hands on approach to the practical application of Boeings required fundamental skill set by using integrated learning solutions. This will include spending half of the day in a live production environment and half of the day performing repetitive skills enhancement projects & learning the production system tools & best practices. We are investing in exposing new hires to lean manufacturing, moonshine, Safety Dojo, some of the advanced site capabilities as a way to build their knowledge set for solving the problems they face.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coach, teach and guide new hire mechanics as they perform work on the production line.
- Provide oversight to ensure first-time quality is achieved in the build and drive behavior to enable Cost and Schedule
- Provide feedback on each MTC participant that will allow for a customized approach in improving each individual mechanic and ensuring as they graduate the MTC they are competent in all Manufacturing and Safety processes & procedures
- Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers
- Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
- Analyzes and interprets data
- Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
- Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives
- Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
- Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years’ experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
- 1+ years’ experience working with or supporting military aircraft
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
- Experience in a role that required organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects
- Experience with military aircraft maintenance and ramp operations
- Previous knowledge / experience with LEAN
- Bachelor’s degree or higher

Summary pay range: $93,500 – $126,500 USD
